The University of Zurich declared open access as a strategic goal. According to the guidelines the University requires their researcher to deposit a copy of their work in ZORA with open access, if there are no legal objections.
The accepted publication types are defined by the Executive Board of the University of Zurich.

As known from the reporting in the annual reports, researchers must declare for every publication whether it is a refereed publication or not and whether it is a original work or a further contribution (see process review).

Publications should be entered in ZORA as soon as they are published for the first time (might be online-only). All publications are checked and completed by the ZORA editorial team in accordance with the faculties. The focus of this works is on the quality of bibliographic data, on the process review and on the copyright situation.
