SNSF Open Access monitoring report

The SNSF Open Access monitoring report shows the self-evaluation of its funding policy and includes a lot of figures of Open Access publications. The SNSF is satisfied with the substantial share of Open Access publications as a result of SNSF funding. The aim is to increase the share of Open Access and to point on the importance of Open Access in collaboration with swissuniversities. The SNSF tries to follow important Open Access routes like the EU, the Austrian Science Fund and the Netherlands. The humanities could increase it's Open Access content through the project OAPEN-CH compared to other disciplines. The SNFS guidelines for Green Open Access have already been adjusted. So starting from January 2016 all publications should be made publicly and freely accessible through a repository. The publications of SNF-funded researchers at the University of Zurich should therefore be archived in ZORA to meet the guidelines of the SNF regarding Open Access.
